Mario Contreras is the Chief Data Officer at Exovera, responsible for the development and implementation the company’s data strategy, to include overarching data governance and data management efforts. In this role, he will have significant impact on Exovera’s data fabric and next generation of data products, leading the transformation of leveraging data to enhance customer capabilities.
Mario has more than 30 years of experience in the intelligence and special operations community, leading data strategy, data-driven solutions, and big data initiatives in the government sector. Prior to Exovera, he was the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office Chief of Operations, responsible for developing policy and leading capabilities sponsorship of the USSOCOM, SOF Digital Ecosystem) program of record. He also established the first OSINT/PAI Program for Joint Special Operations Command, securing the first OSINT/PAI Program Objective Memorandum (POM) for data driven capabilities within USSOCOM.
Mario is a retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer, serving 20 years as an intelligence professional within multiple special operation units, and numerous combat deployments across multiple theaters. He earned a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences from Purdue University and is currently working on his Master of Business Administration through Louisiana State University.
