March saw a continued increase in activity, with 125 Chinese-language and 53 English-language articles, the highest monthly total in 2025. The Army remained the most heavily featured, with articles highlighting unit-level challenges such as personnel turnover and hardships during training, including extreme cold, high-altitude conditions, and logistical strains during exercises in Tibet and Xinjiang.
March marked the PLA international engagement, with the Navy participating in joint exercises with Iran, Russia, and Thailand, and the Air Force’s Bayi Aerobatic Team performing in Thailand. Articles reinforced Xi Jinping’s guidance from the Two Sessions and the Central Military Commission’s Political Work Conference.
